Schedules
IHSSBCA tournaments must offer a minimum of seven meaningful games (not including exhibition games, such as byes or scrimmages) to every team that attends. The tournaments outlined here offer all teams 7 to 10 rounds, inclusive, before finals. If the number of teams signed up for your tournament is not shown here, try to expand or reduce your field until you have a better number of teams, as other numbers of teams can be difficult to schedule for.

| If you are using these schedules for fewer than the recommended number of teams, (e.g. 34 teams on the 36 team schedule) start by drafting teams into the preliminary pools evenly. Then, fill in all of the unused teams with byes (games that are not played because there is no valid opponent). When a team is on bye, you may want to schedule them to play a game against another team that is also on bye. However, please remember that these “crossover” games should never be recorded in the stats, and must never be used to determine a team’s win-loss record or a player’s tossup points. It is recommended that you discard all scoresheets from crossover matches without entering them. |
