SchoBowlFest is an annual coaching conference held online through Zoom. The conference usually includes a morning session and an afternoon session, and includes community discussions and talks from experienced coaches on topics like recruitment, fundraising, running practices, keeping team statistics, or running tournaments. The Rockford Quiz Bowl Company Novice 2025-26 question set
The spirit of Novice tournaments is to provide a gameplay opportunity to new and very inexperienced players without forcing them to play against more experienced opponents. Coaches and players often know instinctively whether a player will need the Novice experience to start off their playing career, but if you are unsure about a player’s eligibility, visit the Novice tournaments page for eligibility rules.

Turnabouts give teams a chance to compete without having to go up against the best teams in the state. The vast majority of Scholastic Bowl teams are invited, but teams that have won large tournaments or repeatedly placed highly at tournaments in the past year are not invited.
